How many towns can I list in my propane Google service area?

Google allows up to 20 service-area entries. Each can be a city, postal code or another area you serve. You cannot set a mileage radius. Its general guidance says the whole area should be within about two hours of driving time from your base. List real coverage.

Choose areas, not a circle

Google sets a 20-entry limit. It is not always a limit of 20 towns: an entry can be a postal code or another area.

We suggest taking the list to dispatch. If the office would turn down a delivery there, do not add it just to fill a slot.

Keep the boundary realistic

The general guide uses about two hours of driving time, not a fixed mile radius. Google’s broader business guidelines say larger areas may suit some businesses.

Do not assume that exception fits your company. Have the profile manager check the guidance against your actual routes.

Update the office list too

Edit service areas in the profile’s location settings. Google says approved changes can take up to 48 hours to appear.

Keep a dated list for the office and website editor. Useful town pages can explain real coverage. They do not justify a profile for each delivery town.

Next step

Ask dispatch to mark the areas it actually serves. Review that list with us before updating the profile and website.
